Operating under the inspiring theme “Empowering the Leaders of Today,” Glocal Teen Hero South Asia 2026 aims to expand the search for fantastic teens across borders to catalyze positive change. The initiative reflects a bold vision: that the solutions to tomorrow’s challenges lie in the untapped potential of today’s youth.
The program will bring together exceptional teenagers from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and other South Asian nations, providing them with a singular, transformative platform to showcase their leadership, creativity, and social impact. A coveted “Winner of Winners” title the South Asian Glocal Teen Hero will be awarded to the most outstanding participant of the entire competition.

History of Glocal Teen Hero
What started in Kathmandu Valley in 2015 has grown into a trusted regional teen recognition platform. Glocal Teen Hero (GTH) is a platform dedicated to identifying and honoring exceptional teenagers who are creating a positive impact in society looking beyond academic excellence to find leadership, innovation, and a drive for social change. The program began in Nepal and has since expanded to India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, and now with the 2026 edition, it takes its boldest step yet uniting five South Asian nations on a single stage. Over eleven years of impact, the program has reached thousands globally, engaged participants across Nepal, expanded to multiple countries, and reached hundreds of schools, cementing its place as one of South Asia’s most influential youth leadership platforms.

How to Apply
Teens across South Asia who believe they have what it takes to be a regional changemaker are encouraged to apply before the deadline of July 25, 2026. Applications can be submitted by scanning the QR code on the official poster or by visiting the official website.
Please find below the selection process for the Glocal Teen Hero South Asia program:
1. Application Review
All submitted applications are carefully reviewed based on eligibility, achievements, leadership qualities, impact, and overall profile.
2. Top 20 Under 20 Selection
The most promising applicants are shortlisted as the Top 20 Under 20 from each participating country.
3. Finalists Selection
From the Top 20, a selection panel identifies the most outstanding candidates who advance to the final stage of the competition.
4. Jury Evaluation
The finalists are evaluated by an esteemed jury panel based on their innovation, social impact, leadership potential, and ability to inspire positive change.
5. National Glocal Teen Hero Winners
One exceptional teen is selected from each participating country and recognized as the National Glocal Teen Hero (e.g., Glocal Teen Hero India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Bhutan).
6. South Asian Glocal Teen Hero Award
The five national winners then advance to the regional stage, where they compete for the prestigious title of South Asian Glocal Teen Hero. Following a comprehensive evaluation, one outstanding young leader is selected and honored with this regional recognition.
