Roots and Early Inspirations
Mr. Goyal’s connection with Nepal runs deep. Born in India, he moved to Kathmandu at the tender age of three due to his father’s work in the country. His childhood was filled with vibrant experiences in a culturally rich environment, providing him with a solid foundation for his future endeavors. Mr. Goyal fondly recalls his school years, describing them as joyful and enriching. He completed his schooling at Modern Indian School in Kathmandu, where his affinity for academics, particularly in accounts, became apparent. His early interest in finance laid the groundwork for his aspirations in the corporate world.
After completing his schooling, Mr. Goyal moved to India to pursue Chartered Accountancy. This academic pursuit provided him with the necessary theoretical knowledge to navigate the complexities of finance and business management. His practical experience began as an industrial trainee in Kolkata, where he gained valuable insights into the financial workings of businesses. This experience was pivotal, as it allowed him to apply his academic knowledge in real-world scenarios, preparing him for the challenges he would later face in his career.
A Diverse Career Path
In January 2004, Mr. Goyal returned to Nepal, beginning his professional journey with Tokla Tea, part of the Triveni Group. His time there was transformative, offering deep insights into business operations and finance. Under the mentorship of Chairman Mr. Subhash Chandra Sanghai, he gained invaluable lessons in professionalism, integrity, and teamwork, laying a strong foundation for his career.
After Tokla Tea, Mr. Goyal joined the Golchha Organization, working with Nepal Boards P. Ltd. This role exposed him to Nepal’s industrial dynamics, particularly challenges from political instability in the Terai region, a key industrial hub. Here, he learned about the impact of external factors on business, enhancing his understanding of risk management and strategic planning.
Next, Mr. Goyal led Rukmini Chemical Industries for nearly six years. Starting as a senior manager, he rose to CEO, driving remarkable growth. Under his leadership, the company’s turnover surged from 1.5 crore to 22 crore. He spearheaded the establishment of a new factory, transforming the business into a significant enterprise. This experience reinforced his belief in the power of strategic planning, hard work, and perseverance for growth and expansion.

Almost a decade ago, Mr. Goyal joined Triveni Byapar Company, where he has embraced the role of a business strategist and Finance Controller. Over the years, he has served as a Business Strategist and Finance Controller, supporting various business verticals through deep strategic positioning, business reviews, and planning, which includes both homegrown brands like YASUDA and premium electronics brands such as Samsung, Panasonic, Prestige, Bajaj, Forbes, Symphony, Sansui, and Akaritek. His responsibilities encompass Business Strategies, Designing and Controlling Busienss Core Processes such as Finance, supply chain management, Compliance and IT, placing him at the heart of the organization’s strategic initiatives.
“I am essentially the cost center of this organization,” he states, reflecting on his role and the impact he strives to make. His journey has not only equipped him with technical expertise but has also shaped him into a leader who thrives in managing complex business dynamics, particularly in challenging environments.
Entrepreneurial Mindset and Contributions
Given Mr. Goyal’s extensive experience and success, many would wonder why he chose not to pursue his own business despite having served as a Senior General Manager – Finance. He clarifies a common misconception: entrepreneurship is not solely about owning a business. “I believe entrepreneurship is a mindset, a characteristic that one can apply within any organization,” he explains. “If a CEO lacks entrepreneurial skills, they wouldn’t be able to effectively hold that position or lead an organization successfully.”
For Mr. Goyal, entrepreneurship is about the contributions one makes to drive growth, regardless of whether it is through a personal venture or an organizational role. “An entrepreneur can either choose to build their own company or apply their entrepreneurial skills within an organization,” he asserts. “I have chosen to focus my efforts on Triveni Byapar, where I can leverage my skills, ideas, and strategic thinking to create a meaningful impact.”
His commitment to the company and its growth is evident, as he continuously seeks to innovate and adapt to the ever-changing market landscape. By fostering a culture of collaboration and encouraging his team to think creatively, Mr. Goyal has positioned Triveni Byapar for sustained success in a competitive industry.

Message for the Youth
Mr. Goyal’s journey has not only shaped his career but also instilled in him a profound sense of responsibility towards the youth of Nepal. He recognizes that many young people feel discouraged by a lack of opportunities in the country. “I understand that the youth of Nepal often feel that their future is uncertain,” he says. “But instead of simply accepting this narrative, we need to ask ourselves why this perception exists.”
He emphasizes the need for a paradigm shift toward developing homegrown products and industries. “Nepal has become increasingly import-dependent, which contributes to the outlook of limited opportunities. However, if we focus on creating domestic products, we can open up real prospects for young people,” he advocates.
Mr. Goyal envisions a future where policies encourage domestic production and entrepreneurial initiatives. “This shift requires a visionary approach. If we work towards self-sufficiency and innovation, we can build a stronger foundation for our economy and empower young talent to drive positive change,” he asserts passionately.
By sharing his insights, Mr. Goyal aims to inspire the youth of Nepal to believe in their potential and work towards creating a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Personal Life and Support
Beyond his professional success, Mr. Goyal’s personal life is equally inspiring. He embraced an arranged marriage, a tradition in Marwari families, and found a life partner who has been his steadfast support. They met in the afternoon and were engaged by evening—a decision he cherishes. “I couldn’t have found a better partner on my own. She’s perfect for me,” he reflects.
His wife balances family responsibilities while supporting his demanding career. “She’s my best friend and an incredible partner, always there through ups and downs,” he shares. As a devoted mother and caring daughter, she ensures their family life remains harmonious. Mr. Goyal credits her strength and dedication for allowing him to focus on his career, knowing their family is in capable hands.
