Nepal Men’s cricket team delivered a commanding performance against Qatar in their recent T20 clash, securing an emphatic 8-wicket victory with 3 overs to spare.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Qatar posted a respectable total of 151-5 in their allotted 20 overs. Muhammad Ikramullah anchored the innings with a composed 54 off 54 balls, while Shahzaib Jamil added quickfire runs with 31 from 21 balls. Mujeeb Ur Rehman also contributed 20 off 19 deliveries. Nepal’s bowling attack kept things under control with Karan KC, Sompal Kami, and Nandan Yadav each claiming a wicket and conceding under 8 runs an over.
In response, Nepal’s top order fired on all cylinders. Kushal Bhurtel smashed 38 off just 19 balls, setting the tone early. Skipper Rohit Kumar Paudel continued the momentum with a steady 37 from 29 deliveries, while Aasif Sheikh played a brilliant supporting role, scoring 33 off 21. The team reached the target of 154 in just 17 overs, showcasing their batting depth and aggressive intent.

Despite Mujeeb Ur Rehman’s efforts with the ball (2-12 in 3 overs), the Qatari bowlers struggled to contain the Nepali batters. Nepal chased down the target with ease, wrapping up a convincing win.
